ABOVE-THE-LINE NEWS
Todd Haynes's film I'M NOT THERE, co-written with OREN MOVERMAN, was
showcased at Telluride, Venice, Toronto, NY and Woodstock, and Mill Valley film festivals. At the 2007 Venice International
Film Festival I'M NOT THERE was co-winner of the Special Jury Prize and Cate Blanchett won the Coppa Volpi for Best
Actress. I'M NOT THERE was also the subject of a NY Times magazine cover story.
MARRIED LIFE co-written by Oren Moverman and Writer/Director Ira Sachs --starring Rachel McAdams, Pierce
Brosnan, and Chris Cooper--premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and was also included at the NY Film Festival. Sony
Pictures Classics will distribute Spring 08. Filmmaker Magazine featured an interview between Oren Moverman and
Ryan Gosling in their 15th anniversary edition. The discussion explores Oren's process of collaborating with auteur
writers and directors.
We congratulate screenwriters Sam Appelbaum and Chris Alexander on their original screenplay, THREE
STORIES ABOUT JOAN, which was optioned by Willis Bros. Films. Elsie Choi is attached to produce for Willis Bros.
with NY OFFICE.
Screenwriter Ana Traina sold her original screenplay HORTON BLISS to SONY PICTURES for Ashton Kutcher's
Katalyst shingle -- with Mark Gordon and Katalyst producing.
Alessandro Camon was engaged to write two screenplays for Paramount Pictures; a screenplay adaptation of the
graphic novel THE KILLERS for director David Fincher and a screenplay adaptation of the Robert Ludlum novel: THE
CHANCELLOR MANUSCRIPT. For New Line he is doing a rewrite for THE LAND OF THE LIVING, a James Ellroy novel.
Director Tony Gerber attended The Sundance Lab with his documentary FULL BATTLE RATTLE which he has
co-directed with Jesse Moss and completed an hour long program, THE SCIENCE OF BAD PEOPLE, for National Geographic
Television.
Richard Lowe continues to produce and direct the series "Sex: The Revolution" for VH1 and The
Sundance Channel, which will air in the spring of 2008.

Cinematographer Frederik Jacobi's film Afghan Muscles won the Grand Jury Prize for Documentary at the
AFI Festival. He also shot Ghosts of Cite Soleil which won two prizes at the CPH: DOX festival and the
International Press and Programmers' Award at the Chicago International Documentary Festival.
Join Us shot by cinematographer Vasco Nunes won a Special Jury Prize at the Sidewalk Film Festival and his
film Planet B-Boy won a Special Jury Prize at IDFA 2007.
Editor Phillip Bartell's film Ira & Abby won the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature at the
LA Film Festival.

Damian Acevedo shot a Koros commercial for Ron Krauss, a "Last Laugh" promo for Comedy Central,
Time Warner Cable for Prime Films, Boost spots, "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"
promos, ESPN promos and Cinnamon Toast Crunch for Ruben Fleischer (Sandwick Films), Walmart for
Brett Simon (@Radical Media) and Duraflame for Danny Kaufman (Bully Pictures). His recent music videos
include Crowded House for Robert Hales, (HSI)Juanes, Megadeth & Killswitch Engage directed
by Aggressive (Refused TV), Luna Halo for Greg Jardin (Radical Media), and Sia directed by
Nic Wrathall (IE West).
Rick Lopez shot a Norelco project and MTV "Ice Breakers" for Visual Goodness.
Christos Voudouris shot Pine-Sol and McDonald's for Paul Goldman (Partizan).
Peter Nelson shot spots for Doug Pray (Oil Factory) including Stop & Shop/Giant, a

Thierry Pouget shot a Ferrero Chocolate and a Pantene commercial for Pierre Luca. He also shot

Rod Lamborn worked on web shorts for the WB with comedy directors Joey and David.
Ron Egozi shot an Anti-smoking PSA for U Direct, a Page Six project for Digital
Kitchen, piece for the New York Times Web Style Section for their launch and the Second Season of
Human Giant for MTV. He also shot a development piece for Saratoga directed by Meredith
Wilson over at Al Roker Productions.
John Ealer shot Science of Evil for the National Geographic Channel, directed by Tony Gerber.
He shot a spot for the Kennedy Space Center for BRC Imagination Arts, along with the Bob Rogers Lifetime
Achievement Award. In addition, he did a USMC project for Motion Picture Productions as well as more
episodes of UFO Road Trip. He also shot a Motorola commercial for Stewart Hendler (Uber Content).
Tim Hudson shot a Levelor Blinds commercial directed by The Polish Brothers for Green Dot and a
Kinder Bueno for Patrick Hughes (@Radical Media). He also shot Wrigleys Solano for Tim
Bullock (Prodigy Films) and Panasonic Lumix for The Glue Society (Radical Media).
Imre Juhasz shot the OJ Project by Gerald Barad, an open for Made on MTV, and a
Mad Men promo directed by Tony Gerber (Market Road Films).
Vasco Nunes shot a national spot for State Farm, an industrial for Coke with Lebron James and promos for
M.I.A. and Kenna for MTV. He also shot the pilot ‘Art and Wine' for Crazy Leg
Productions and directed several webisodes for Rock Corps. He also directed, produced and shot: ‘Its Not
Big, It's Large' for Lyle Lovett which is currently being sold in stores.
Aaron Platt shot videos for Mumm-Ra for Rich Lee (DNA) and Queens of the Stone Age for Brett
Simon (DNA). He did a commercial for Wii Table Tennis for Rockstar Games. And also shot State Farm for
Christina Hodnet.
Nathan Wilson traveled to Nicaragua to shoot the documentary Café Chavalos for Albert Chamorro.
He also shot a promo at Lollapalooza featuring the Geico Cavemen by Giant Films.
George Bianchini worked steadicam on an Anti-Smoking PSA for U-Direct, a Truth Anti-Smoking Commercial
for MJZ Inc, a Jordin Sparks (Matthew Rolston) music video and an Avril Lavigne (Matthew Rolston) music video
for Radical Media, a Jay-Z (Chris Robinson) music video for Robot Films, and an Abingdon Memorial Hospital

Dave Wilson designed music videos for NLT (Brett Simon), Colbie Caillat (Liz Friedlander)
, Cold War Kids (Jay Martin), Che'Nelle (Liz Friedlander), Twelve Stone (Rich Lee), Mumm-Ra
(Rich Lee), and Miley Cyrus (Marc Webb) all for DNA. He has designed a Marilyn Manson
video that Manson directed himself, Keke Palmer directed by Syndrome (Robot Films), Queens of the

He designed commercials for Olevia HDTV for Alastair McKevitt (Shadow Screen),

Linda Burton designed on Columbian Coffee for Element Productions.
Chris Jones has designed numerous commercials for Anonymous Content including Coke (Malcolm Venville),
Nike (Malcolm Venville), Army (Malcolm Venville), National Guard (Antoine Fuqua), Petsmart (Patrick Sherman), Nasdaq
(Malcolm Venville), AT&T (one for David Kellogg, one for Robert Logevall), and Mandalay (Malcolm
Venville). He also did Clearwire (Neil Harris - Smuggler), Sprite and an Aqualung video
for Jon Watts (Smuggler).
Angela Howard designed a TV Land promo for Curious Pictures.
Bekka Melino designed a Lewis Black promo for Comedy Central, a Diet Chocolate Cherry Dr. Pepper
spot for the web for True Entertainment, as well as a PSA for Grain Foods for Oil Factory.
Jill Kliber designed a Boscov's commercial for What?!.
Chuck Renaud designed Mayer Craft Sweepstakes for VH1.
Jennifer Eve designed the costumes for an U.N.K.L.E video for Miguel Sapatchnik (Fry Cat Productions).
Beverly Hyde designed the costumes on a Verizon commercial for Jaume (Believe).
