Prior to his most recent collaboration with director Oren Moverman on THE DINNER, starring Chloe Sevigny, Rebecca Hall, and Laura Linney, Alex edited the award winning television shows:  TRUE DETECTIVE , TREME and THE WIRE for HBO.

In 2009 he edited Oren Moverman’s directorial debut film THE MESSENGER (Oscilloscope) starring Woody Harrelson and Ben Foster, Samantha Morton and Jena Malone.

Alex began his film editing career on Jim McKay’s Sundance award winning film GIRLS TOWN (October Films), starring Lili Taylor and Aunganue Ellis.  He lent his talents to several independent films produced by Killer Films, including OFFICE KILLER, directed by Cindy Sherman, before re teaming with Jim McKay on OUR SONG ( IFC FILMS) starring Kerry Washington and EVERYDAY PEOPLE  (HBO FILMS) both of which also premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2000 and 2004.

Alex has directed two episodes of TREME during the 2012 season as well as an episode of CBS television hit BLUE BLOODS .
